  Sally's Product Review
Page 90, Issue 47 of the Companion Parrot Quarterly (fka --Pet Bird Report)

My recent seminar to the wonderful bird shop Parrot Island in St. Louis Park, Minnesota provided an opportunity to see several of their new products. Spikey Le Bec was lucky enough to stay in one of the Parrot Island Acrylic cages while we were visiting. He has a smaller one in my office as his play cage and I have ordered one of their 36" Aviaries as his permanent cage. Spike has been in the same cage since he came to me over a decade ago and I think he will love living in the Parrot Island cage.

I was never a fan of acrylic cages until I saw the one from Parrot Island, Terry has thought of everything in manufacturing and setting up the cages - ventilation, climbing space, roominess, ease of cleaning, and perching possibilities.

Parrot Island also manufactures an acrylic hanging tray stand. I brought one home and hung a "boingg" next to it. I am thinking of adding some more options for activity so Spikey and Twiggy can get lots of exercise when they visit me in the office. Shari Beaudoin of Parrot Island has also started making some fun toys - most are geared toward the small to medium parrot family birds. One of the ones I had to have for Spikey is the Small Hide and Play Ball. This toy has a hanging hollow red ball with openings large enough for Spike to climb in and play with all the goodies inside. He took to it right away. Spike also has a larger version from my previous visit to Parrot Island.
